Kingston is a bigger, busier market than my home base in Brockville — a university city with a deep trades base, a strong small-business core, and a genuine arts and music scene. It also has no shortage of web agencies. What it has fewer of is someone who works the way I do: one person, directly reachable, with flat and honest pricing and no account managers between you and the work.
I'm based just down the 401 in Brockville, close enough to meet in person when a project calls for it and set up to handle most work remotely when it doesn't. For a lot of Kingston businesses, that's the sweet spot — local enough to be accountable, small enough to actually care about the outcome.
Who I work with in Kingston
The businesses lining Princess Street and tucked off Division — the trades, practices, and independent shops that make up the working core of the city — are exactly who Forgotten Skye is built for. Not big enough to need an agency on retainer, but too serious about their business to be stuck on a broken or outdated website.
- Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, contractors, and other trades that live and die by whether the phone rings
- Health and wellness practitioners who need clean booking and clear service information
- Independent small businesses and shops that need a site that actually represents them
- Businesses stuck on a site they can't edit, don't own, or can't get anyone to fix
For Kingston's music and arts scene
I'm a gigging musician myself, and I've played shows around Kingston — downtown rooms like the Toucan, and up on the other side of town at spots like Overtime. So when a band, venue, or artist needs a website, I actually understand what it's for: tour and show dates that are easy to update, links to wherever your music lives, a proper EPK, merch, the things that matter to people in the scene rather than a generic template.
I know artists and small venues aren't working with agency budgets, and I don't pretend otherwise. If you're making things happen in Kingston's music community and need a site that does right by it, that's work I genuinely want to do.
